However both he and Sylvia have to face the fact that, for the foreseeable future, they cannot enjoy any physical intimacy. They decide to treat their affair as a long Victorian courtship.

Maria is taken to a new foster home in a magical city where she becomes sunshine, finds a statue that talks to her and meets a boy. She lives happily in a world of fantasy and imagination until one day something happens to change all that.
