¿Por qué los delgados no engordan?

Comer demasiado nos está matando. Una dieta basada en alimentos como helados, hamburguesas, chocolate y otros de alto aporte calórico nos hace engordar. La sociedad del siglo XXI está literalmente cavándose su propia su tumba. Pero mientras unos engordan, hay otros que parecen ser inmunes a esta nueva enfermedad. El doctor Ethan Simm se percató de esta diferencia cuando llevaba a cabo un experimento en los internos de la Prisión de Vermont en 1967. Reclutó a un grupo de prisioneros y les pidió que comieran tanto como pudieran hasta que ganaran un 25% más de peso. Pero sólo seis de los nueve consiguieron hacerlo. A través de un experimento parecido, un grupo de estudiantes de medicina han aceptado ahora comer el doble de calorías durante cuatro semanas.
